Currently Reading Book # 9

I am currently reading book 2 in the Gemma Doyle Trilogy, which is also book 2 in the read a thon and book 9 in the 100 book challenge. Almost through with it, I will be finishing it tonight.

Gemma is distressed to find that she has been followed from India by Kartik, a beautiful young man who warns her to fight off the visions. Nevertheless, they continue, and one night she is led by a child-spirit to find a diary that reveals the secrets of a mystical Order. The clique soon finds a way to accompany Gemma to the other-world realms of her visions "for a bit of fun" and to taste the power they will never have as Victorian wives, but they discover that the delights of the realms are overwhelmed by a menace they cannot control. Gemma is left with the knowledge that her role as the link between worlds leaves her with a mission to seek out the "others" and rebuild the Order. A Great and Terrible Beauty is an impressive first book in what should prove to be a fascinating trilogy.

My Thoughts:

Just finish reading this book, it was a fun read. some parts were really predictable and a bit cliche at times but all in all it did keep me reading, there were some really exiting parts and it did make me want to see what happen next, so on to the next book in the series Rebel Angels.

With the read-a-thon coming up, I can't decide which one to read first.  I am currently reading the the 5th book from the top, Where She Went by Gayle Forman.  I just love Thriftbooks.com & Amazon.com.  They are my favorite places to order books from.  Being on a very strict budget they allow me to be able to by 10 books in one month.  So cheap, So Awesome! Hopefully more on the way!

First Books Memories

I always loved reading ever since I was a little girl.  One of my favorite books as a child was Little Ballerina. A Rand McNally Elf Book it combined two of my most favorite things ever Ballet and Reading. I would spend hours looking a the beautiful illustrations in this book and imagine I was the "Little Ballerina". I just recently came across this book online and it brought back all the happy memories of reading it.

New Books

Just purchased two new books If I Stay & Where She Went By Gayle Forman. They are going to make the

first book into a movie starring Chloë Grace Moretz. The trailer made me cry I can just imagine what the books are going to do to me lol. I can't wait to read the books and then go see the movie.

Started Reading it April 5th.  It was slow for me at the start, but it has just started getting really good cant wait to see how it ends.

And yet again another John Green book! This was also a great read, although the love interest in the book did kind of annoy me a bit. Although it it is John Green so it was awesome it was hilarious and it made me laugh out loud a lot. Loved it and I gave it 4 out of 5 stars.
